JUMPING FOR JOY TODAY! . As some of you already know, I started my Kits2Kenya project back in November after staying with a Digo Tribe in Mombasa. I’m now at the next step of this journey on a 6 hour round trip in the UK to drop off all of the donated football kits & boots (more than double than what was required!!) at a UK based charity - Just be a Child - who are kindly helping me with the shipping process to Kenya. . My story has been shared amongst thousands of people around the world which has been amazing and I can’t wait for the team to receive them! . For those of you who haven’t heard of my project before, when myself and Greg went to Mombasa, we stayed with a Digo Tribe. We lived exactly as they do; slept in huts and ate naturally from their farm. We also got chance to meet their local football coach, Chigo who was training a young adult team. They invited us to play as well as the younger kids cheering them on and amongst all of their smiles and laughter, it wasn’t hard to notice that the younger kids especially were playing barefoot and in old ripped clothes. Chigo explained that the difficulty in progressing them into a team was that their families simply didn’t have the money for any items that make up a football kit! . With the help of my own community, I’ve been able to collect more than double than what I was looking for in football kits including football boots which is enough to send out for their entire team!! . . . . #handluggagetraveller #kits2kenya #africa #mombasa #localcommunity #football #kenyancharity #charityproject #justbeachild #helpingothers #travel #digotribe #kenya #iamtb
